This list is also taken to include any live plant the introduction of which into Australia is in accordance with the Biosecurity Act 2015, provided the plant is not included in the list of CITES specimens under this Act. Part 1 of the list must not contain a CITES specimen. The species that have been included are based on current accessible records. This list also contains species that were approved for release prior to, under the Quarantine Act 1908 for the purpose of biological control. This list includes species of animals and plants suitable for live import without an import permit issued under this Act. ![]() Part 1 – Live specimens not requiring an import permit Live plant includes plant reproductive material. Includes a part of a plant and plant reproductive material. Plant means a member, alive or dead, of the plant kingdom or of the fungus kingdom, and Live animal includes animal reproductive material.
